What is the EU Battery Passport?

According to the EU regulation, every LV battery and industrial battery with a capacity of more than 2 kWh and electric vehicle battery placed on the market or put into operation must have an electronic file ("Battery Passport") from February 18, 2027.

What is it for?

The Battery Passport contains information about the battery model and specific information for the individual battery. It contains both public and non-public information and accompanies the battery through your value network and life cycle until its disposal.

What solution do you see at the Hannover Messe?

With the BaSyx Enterprise Battery Passport software, objective partner offers a complete solution for the Digital Battery Passport . The solution is based on the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) as a standardized digital twin and covers the following requirements, among others:

  • With QR code
  • Open standard
  • interoperable format
  • Transferable without provider commitment
  • machine-readable
  • structured and searchable
  • contains public and non-public information
